The download is free. The application requires an Enterprise account with an active subscription to sign in — open-source accounts will not unlock it.
Linux also ships as a system package — .deb for Debian & Ubuntu · .rpm for Fedora & RHEL. Both install system-wide and are updated through your package manager. The .run above is the portable build, and the only Linux one that updates itself from inside the terminal.

From Signup to Signed In
Enterprise uses its own private login, separate from the free open-source terminal and from a fincept.in website account. An existing Fincept account will not sign you in here — the two run on different backends with different user records. The terminal will not open without an active subscription on the Enterprise account you create below.

Enterprise Questions
Enterprise is a separate, closed-source build and it is where the product is now developed. It runs on private and proprietary datasets the open-source edition cannot access, ships far higher usage limits, and adds the modules that make the terminal a research desk rather than a data viewer — Agent Studio, the Node Editor, the AI Quant Lab, backtesting and the private dataroom. It also carries the controls institutions require: SSO, audit logs, role-based access and data isolation.
No. The download is free, but the Enterprise terminal only signs in with an Enterprise account. An open-source account will not unlock it — the app installs but stays locked until an Enterprise seat is attached to your login. The two run on separate backends with separate user records, so this is not a setting we can flip for you.
No. The open-source edition stays open on GitHub under AGPL-3.0 with roughly monthly updates, and everything already released stays released. New development focus has moved to the Enterprise edition, so the two are no longer feature-equivalent — the open-source page sets out exactly what each one includes.
Per user, per month: Exclusive $99, Exclusive+ $199, Exclusive Pro $299. Quarterly billing saves 10% and grants the whole quarter's credits on activation. Seats can be added or removed as your team changes, and the subscription lives on the account rather than the machine — you can install the terminal on every computer you sign in on.
The terminal verifies an active subscription with the server before it will open, so there is no unlocked trial build. Two things are open to you first: the free open-source edition, which shares the same core data workflow, and a live walkthrough of the Enterprise build with us — book a demo and we will show the modules you care about against real data.
They are separate products. API credit packs are one-time purchases for programmatic access to the Fincept REST API and are listed on the open-source page alongside the free tier. An Enterprise seat is a monthly subscription for a person using the Enterprise terminal application, and includes its own far larger usage allowance.
Enterprise is a hosted service today. Dedicated deployments for institutions with strict data-residency requirements are handled case by case — get in touch and we will walk through the options.
